Giving Back

Join Us in Making a Difference
At Gideon, giving back is a core part of our culture. For years, we've quietly supported local food banks and churches here in Houston, providing essentials to those in need. However, in light of the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton in Florida, we're stepping forward in a more public way.

After much thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided to match up to $180,000 in relief funds, with 90% of the contributions directed to those affected in Florida and 10% to support ongoing needs in Houston with the homeless population here, and those still displaced since the storm a few months back. While our CEO strongly believes in the power of private giving, we believe the scale of this disaster calls for a community effort.

We are asking business owners, partners, and friends to consider donating between $100-$500 or $500-$5,000 to help those in desperate need of basic necessities like power, food, and shelter. If we reach just $150,000 in commitments, we will launch a public platform where 100% of the proceeds will be tracked and monitored, (minus any small platform fees will go directly to those affected. We're currently vetting the best platform to ensure transparency and efficiency. And may choose to use our own as long as we effectively show full visibility that 100% of the money given is going directly to those in need, while we will set a priority for employees and small local businesses with thin margins, and of course, the elderly/single mothers/widows etc. Once the minimum 50K is met in commitments you will get an email directing you to a GFM type account so in case we aren't able to setup our own platform in short notice, outside of a small Third-Party platform fee or hopefully a no fee platform, which again we are vetting these as this is being published.

Our team is already working to provide generators and emergency supplies to communities in Florida, and your contribution can make a tremendous difference. Below, we’ve compiled a list of the top 9 charities, carefully vetted through Impactful Ninja, that are on the frontlines of this relief effort.

Once a donation is given to one of the ABOVE orgs or directly to our Florida GLC Hurricane Relief Fund, you will be emailed updates, photos, for larger donations we will provide receipts for exactly what was purchased as unless its specified as a generator, food, basic supplies etc it will be used at the discretion of our relief coordinator our Managing Principals for any of the needsstated above.
